What is it you are missing, right in front
of your eyes? (CN)
Time. Time spent towards achieving goals I may not
want to achieve. Time spent generating experiences I may not want to
remember, that I may not want to impact or guide me in the future. Time
spent defining my life in a way I do not want it defined.
I can see time slip away every day, sometimes lost
in the moment and surprised by the how quickly time as gone, sometimes
painfully aware of time wasted or misspent. Obviously, not all time
consciously spent is wasted. The zone of productivity, blissful wonderment,
enjoying the moment, all of these are ways for time to slip past unnoticed
but spent wisely. Sometimes, though, recognizing and relishing times
well spent usually only comes after the times have passed.
