"When are you going to settle down?"

If I had a penny for every time I've been asked this question...

What a relevant question, even more applicable today than when it was originally asked last summer.

"Settle down" is an incredibly loaded phrase, a mistaken concept bearing the heavy weight of years of cultural context.

If I "settle down" will I stop changing?

Will I stop exploring? Will I stop learning?

Does one have to stop evolving to "settle down"?

---

But I know that's not really what the questioner meant.

I'll settle down when I've got a good reason to settle down :)
