Navigating obstacles
Since the Way crosses through many plots of private land, navigating the many different fences and gates becomes a sport of sorts, figuring out how and why a landowner chose this particular form of gate for their fence.
Of course, not all obstacles on the path were man-made. Typically the cows or sheep were off grazing in the distance, but these cows were a little less willing to let us through. Fran, of course, led the way without concerns...
