Unfolding the known and the unknown
Each early morning brought the sense of a new day unfolding, departing
into an unknown land. The combination of the known (distance, target
destination, the lingering soreness or pain), the approximated (elevation
climbs, potential scenery, mountains, lakes, names of points to pass,
expected pain) and the unknown (exactly how everything will unfold)
brings a vibrancy and an excitement to each day.
