Priorities
Tim Ferris: How to Surf Life: Attorney Turned Surf Guru:
These days, he often sees his former self in the under-joyed and overworked professionals he takes out on the waves. Waiting for the swell, the true emotions come out: “God, I wish I could do what you do.” His reply is always the same: “You can.”
You may want to escape, you may want to plunge deeper: but the opportunity is there. Set your priorities and go.
Biases
On Unstructured Thoughts: “Don’t Listen to Me”.
The point is not to get rid of our biases: our biases can be incredibly valuable if we recognize where they exist, how they were formed and how they shape us.
A shout-out to Anil Polat for helping me think about the value of biases….

I'm glad to have provoked the idea – your blog often has me analyzing viewpoints.
