I'm just kidding, in a way, prodding. I personally have no qualms with using whatever tools we have at our disposal.

"Pure" is a fairly ephemeral notion in any case; we're continually re-writing the standards, definitions and examples of what "pure" (or "right", or "wrong") throughout time.

I use a Canon DSLR, shoot everything in RAW in color, and develop in Photoshop, usually developing a couple different versions to see what if I can replicate the ideas in my mind.

does it matter in terms of purity or being a purist? hell no. i just want to know the best methods for duplicating this (copying you). medium format? stitching?

photoshop, like filters and lenses is another means to an end, creating a painting with light. seeing something in your mind and actualizing it.

I'll tell you, but first, let me ask: does it matter?

And once we combine a camera and Photoshop, how do we determine the impact of each tool for creation?
